Every Minnesotan has the right to live a happy and healthy life, and to access the resources they need to do so.
Together, we must:
-Expand MinnesotaCare with the ultimate goal of creating a single-payer, universal health care system that provides high-quality care for all Minnesotans.
-Provide affordable mental health services for all, setting a new standard for care in Minnesota.
-Work in partnership with all communities–in District 62A and across the state–to address the opioid crisis, marshalling state resources to support community-driven solutions.
-Recognize the impact environmental pollution plays in limiting public health, building on the work Karen Clark has championed to address cumulative impact and limit the risk of respiratory and other illness simply by virtue of income or zip code.
-Make sure the childhood lead poisoning bills put forward by Rep. Karen Clark do not remain pigeonholed as urban issues and are actually passed, protecting children from predominantly low-income communities from being exposed to this incurable and completely preventable threat.
-Ensure medical coverage for counseling, medication, and surgery for transgender members of our community are covered.
-Protect a woman’s right to make choices about her own health and body.
